Little Caesars Arena

Little Caesars Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Midtown Detroit and the third largest ice hockey rink in the world, by seating capacity (20,000). Home to the Detroit Red Wings and Pistons, the $862.9 million arena features a 37,000-square-foot practice rink, a center-hung scoreboard that measures 5,100-square-feet, and gondola seating suspended above the stands.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held September 24, 2014, and construction started in April 2015. The Arena is part of a $2.1 billion, 650,000-square-foot sports and entertainment district in and around downtown Detroit. More than 69% of all construction contracts were awarded to Detroit-based businesses. Intentio Innovations was ecstatic to be a part of such an influential project, offering its services with HVAC piping, plumbing, and VRF coordination. Later in the project, Intentio scanned the gondola to help with the coordination process. As the project ended, the Intentio team was invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony on September 5, 2017.
